STRANGE LOVES In the aftermath of the confrontation in which Night-Slayer was captured and Nocturna apparently died, Batman takes the slayer to the authorties and Catwoman to the hospital. However, Robin decides to remain a little longer near the danger zone so he can come to terms with losing a mother for a second time. To make matters worse, Robin feels guilt as he was responsible for placing Nocturna inside the balloon, which was rudely taken by the fiery red storm and sorrow overcomes him, for he intended to save her in a moment of desperation and now he has lost her mother's love forever. Moments later, Batman delivers the Night-Slayer to the GCPD Headquarters, where the criminal gives the police a little trouble until he is restrained by Batman. Meanwhile, Robin meets with Marsh, the security guard which was hypnotized by Nocturna as the man comes to visit her at the observatory, but when he finds it gone, he becomes mad with desperation and attacks Robin before going to the city and start looking everywhere for her. Batman is at the hospital, resuming his relationship with Catwoman when he decides to get Robin. When the Dark Knight meets with the Boy Wonder, he learns about Marsh and they go looking for the man until they find him at the top of the Ardeco Building. Nocturna's balloon has been stuck at the top of the building and Marsh hoped to find her there, but when realizes the balloon is empty and with blood inside, he decides to commit suicide. Batman and Robin try to talk to him out of it, but the man descends into his own madness and falls from the rooftop, ending his miserable life. Afterwards, it is up to Harvey Bullock to give the bad news to the now widowed, Mrs. Marsh. Continued from Batman #391 . BELIEVE EVERYTHING I HEAR Green Arrow is almost stymied when an underworld informant is struck down, almost before he can give him a clue to where a large drug shipment is being made. His only words seem to be "sure...bet". GA finally deduces that the clue is "sherbet", which leads him to a cargo of imported ice cream with the drugs concealed within.
